It's official

Dang my friend with a 2 year degree makes that doing deliveries in his truck in about 5-6 hours a day.
I'm sure we could list a 1,000 jobs that pay more but fact is Matt found a job in a crappy economy. Good on him.

Oh definitely, not trying to take away from that. $175 is a good living in most parts of the country. Just pointing out the basic that pilots need to be paid more :)

What's really sad is that they pay slightly BETTER than my last job, and most other 135 cargo jobs. The DO told me a story about how they told UPS that they absolutely had to give their guys a raise, it'd been too long...then they lost the UPS runs...

Coming from the new Baron pilot...and half the pay. Good luck Matt and if I can help out just let me know. I am sure that we will cross paths sometime down the airway...

It's a small world brother. Stay frosty and thank your lucky stars you have a yob to wait this mess out while doing. Or so I keep telling myself.

This schedule is brutal, but that's all DHL... the company has so far been really good about making it as livable as possible. I made the analogy that going from the Mitsi to the 99 was like going from a Ferrari to a Taurus. I'd like to redact that. More like a Ferrari to a 500hp truck or something. At light weights it climbs like a raped ape. Waaaaay easier to fly, too. It's basically a giant baron with single lever, unshockcoolable engines.

Right you were, comrade. She definitely gets up and goes. And considering that I'm stuck below 10 with the little people, the speed isn't too bad either, since it has the frontal area of a small building. Do miss the autopilot, and if I forget to pull the inertial separators one more time, I'm going to draw "Captain Idiot" on the lapels of my new monkeysuit. Which, btw, FL in the summer+monkeysuit=bad.

I can't say that I've ever forgotten to pull the inertial seperators when I was flying it.:confused::confused::sarcasm::sarcasm::D
