It's official

Well aware, KLB and other AMF guys. Appreciate y'all greatly. I'm going to take the ATP written next week if it kills me, at which point I'll fill out an app and start irritating you all to death with PMs/phone calls/etc. The flood of PMs and suggestions has been truly humbling. Thanks a lot, y'all rock. I'm gettin all misty, I'd better go kick a dog or post an "end times" thread or something. ;)
 
Sorry to hear that Boris, I heard a rough rider call sign the other day didnt realize they were laying off pilots. Good luck with the hunt man, I am looking for a new job right now myself, I will let you know if i find anything

How could I forget? Waco, you the man. My over-utilized ashtray is now full of bizzare white butts. I think I'm smoking more, now, in an effort to "get used to the taste" so I don't return to the Expensive Side of the Force. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

True story - I made the switch Saturday. I smoked Pall Mall's all day Saturday, but had one Marlboro Light left over. I ended up smoking that and was absolutely disgusted by the taste, smell and harshness. Try it - bum a Marlboro from a friend and then tell my that you don't agree that Pall Mall, even if it cost as much as a Marlboro, isn't the better cigarette. Also - another factor is that while everyone looks cool smoking...I think you look cooler smoking a "retro" type of brand. Any metro-sexual, hair-gell wearing frappachino drinking wannabe can smoke a Marlboro and think they are cool. Pall Mall's are manly.
 
Oh yeah. Boris, I might have heard you coming out of STL Monday night on Kansas City center around 8pm or so. I heard the Roughrider call sign and wodered if it was you or not. I was heading up from MCO to CID.
 
Sorry to hear about this man. I'm glad the JC community is helping out, I wish we were hiring too. Much better to fly with people you know.

Sorry to hear about it bro. If I hear of anything out here, I'll PM. In the meantime, there a place here in Bako that pays by the hour for a fella that can dance in high heels and fishnets. It's not glamorous but it keeps the lights on in the house. On the cigarette front, I am going to have to go with Lucky Strikes. My old man used to buy them by the carton and I've been missing the taste of them for years.

That was almost certainly me. I think I remember hearing an "Amflight" as well, and wondering whether it was someone I know. Glad you're working, because as I've learned recently, it's better than not. With any luck (and a great deal of much appreciated help), maybe I can join you soon.

And once again, thanks to everyone for all the wellwishes and leads. It's good to have friends, even if they're mostly text. JC #1!

PS. The Mitsi is a sweetheart. Fly it by the numbers and it will never do anything untoward. Easiest plane to land I've ever flown...it must have started life as a navy plane. If I can do it, you can be sure anyone with a pulse and a license can.
