Issue at Dulles?

It always felt like the people movers coupled with the terminal with excessive aggression. Like when animals mate. I always winced, waiting for the PM to slam into the wall.

I have always liked the flying into IAD, and the ease of operations, but from crew/pax drop off to the gate is an absolute nightmare unless you have lots of time to kill.

all the real operators left during covid when they were getting furloughed from Mobile Lounge command and i think never came back. cdls were making a lot of money elsewhere. old crew was real smooth with it, since 21-22 it’s been really steep learning curve with the new drivers energy management

I used to be based at IAD and when I was going to/from the A gates, it was always a dice roll on “smooth” vs. “ramming speed” - this was post-COVID so at least some of them learned.

I am actually more surprised that they haven’t run over a tug, airport vehicle or cart, much less an airplane.
