Is This You?

This is like going to the bar with your military uniform on: If your the only one there in uniform, go change.

i don't think so...he's in public.

FYI...no pilot should be at a bar wearing the uniform, you're just asking for trouble.

I don't remember it being a big deal in the Air Force, only time I ever flew, wore a uniform, and was at a bar on the same day.

The airport I frequent has several tiki bars essentially on the ramp, but you would be ridiculed for wearing any type of uniform, airline or otherwise.

Don't be a tool, the Van Huesen Aviator really isn't all that comfortable anyway... And you wouldn't want those shirts smelling of beer ;)

May be its apple juice? I wouldn't post someone's picture in a forum regardless of whatever action they are caught in. There are privacy laws and you posted his picture with out his permission. And if he sees this picture, he has every right in this world to go after your tush.

Privacy laws for photography do not apply in a public place unless the owner of the establishment has signs posted or a representative of the establishment requests no photography. But there is such a thing a defamation of character and just common decency.

This is quoted from your link:
There is no general legal requirement to obtain someone’s authorization to take his or her photograph. However, there are situations where photography can infringe on important social interests such as national security, protection of children, right of privacy, etc. Most of these situations are strictly controlled by national laws and regulations. Irrespective of the legalities, there are also some things a photographer should not photograph for ethical reasons. Certain photographs of people may amount to exploiting the persons concerned or misrepresenting the truth. If you, as a photographer, know the law and one’s legal rights, you will also be in a better position to find solutions that minimize your legal risks.

Often, you may be free to take a photograph of a person, but the way the image is used may give the person shown in the photograph a right to take legal action.

Back to the OP...

IMHO, I think photographing this guy and posting it on the internet (without his knowing) for the sole purpose to bag in him is faaaaarrrr more douchy than the act the subject is engaged in. The guy's going to screw himself over soon enough, he doesn't need anyone's help....

You think you're better than this guy? Smug arrogant individuals man. Its not right to expose those who have no knowledge you're going to post them online. You're a damn creeper for doing this. And if I saw you taking pics of me, wed have words outside n I'm sure that phone of yours would be no more either.

Well aren't you Mr. Tough-Guy?!? Let me know when you're looking for a job....perhaps I can help. ;)

I'm with all the other PROFESSIONAL AVIATORS in this thread. The pilot in question made a bad decision by going to the bar in uniform and slugging back a cold one. It takes 5 seconds to remove the epaulets.....don't be an idiot!

Kudos, CirrusMonkey! Thanks for saying something to this guy!

My dad can beat up your dad. Or not. It'd be fun to watch my dad in a fight though.

Does your Droid using Tapatalk not allow you to type the word "and"?

What's going on with society where a guy can't get off work and enjoy a cold beer without getting his picture posted on the internet, and getting tried in internet professionalism court by the airline professional police.

cheers

Seems like people have too much fun bagging each other. All in the name of the looming pilot shortage... you know...
Who needs enemies, with colleagues like that.
