Who am I? Where are my pants?
Idiocracy was, apparently, a documentary.
A while back I noted that, in 200 years we will know if idiocracy was a documentary or a utopian fantasy.

There's a pretty robust debate going on over at BluePilots.com about whether it's "wrong" to pick up a trip from open time then immediately put it up on the trade board.
There are no rules against it, but some feel that it's "screwing" other pilots because the guy that picked it up has no intention of flying it. He's just trying to pad his credit. Someone else could've picked it up and flown it, but since he got it first, they can't.
The one side argues that he knows he's being an ass, so it's wrong and he shouldn't do it. The other side argues that it's legal and while it may be crappy, there's no reason to get up in arms about it. (This guy got his name plastered all over the site to shame him.)
Anyway, what say you?
Seriously. As bad as Airlinkpilots got in the thick of negotiations in the middle of the "last best and final offer," when senior/junior guys were at each other's throats over the bonus distribution on TA1 and anything else.....BP is FAR, FAR worse. APC is puppies and kittens compared to it. Hell, that other one that charges and rhymes with Might Info.com is probably more welcoming.
Good grief, whatever happened to spending more time with your family, or your dog, or hell, with yourself! Get a life, people!
We just got access to the SWAPA forum today. You should see this thing. A bunch of captains making $250k+ acting like they've got the worst job in aviation. Good for a few laughs, anyway.

You're my hero right now. They could fix *some* of our issue by switching to the Van Heusen shirts. It's not so bad for me because I only fly 2 days a month, but even with that little wear I can see issues.
You're my hero right now.
You're my hero right now.
Sim guys work hard. 2 days is ok but i'll stick with my 0 for Sep
Did you use the full visuals too, or leave the screens off?Today I did a sim demo for a guy who is legally blind. His assistant took a picture of him flying with his dark glasses and a cane.

If you're itemizing. Absolutely.
Now if I could just convince the facebook/internet pilot wives around the world that per diem is for your expenses and NOT necessarily income, we could actually eat healthfully instead of like a junior high schooler with a lunch box.
#petpeeve
I just flew with another FO who carries a lunch bag with him. He came from an RJ right seat (fine), but won't give up the ghost in a number of different ways (not fine, but that's a story for another time).
"You know...we have food on the jet now. And there's an oven that you can use to heat it up. You should try it."
Nah, this cat swung gear on the E170 for a year, and now is apparently qualified to speak poorly about the 767. Oh, and that he should already be at Delta since he has heavy time now. Wanted to boot him out from FL400. I guess some guys fall through the hiring cracks. Just wish we'd hire deserving types instead. There's an "oven" on the CRJ. I flew with a Puerto Rican dude who would cook stuff on the coffee burner. It was actually amazing what he could do with it. He fashioned a little oven out of aluminum foil...
