Hey all,
Quick question. Touchy subject but want to know advice or if anyone knows information.
A year ago I got a dui (.08) when I fell asleep driving a friend home. (Dumb, yes, yes I know). But thought I was doing the right thing by driving my friend home.
Anyways, I have been cfi'ing for a little over a year now. Got my CMEL/CSEL , IR, CFI, CFII, MEI, tail wheel, hi-perf... Like 350 dual given, 650+ tt, ect..
I know insurance is a pain when it comes to dealing with this type of situation, but aside from instructing (which I enjoy, how long will it take to become hire able at different opperations). The reason I ask is because I recently was hired on the spot for a 91 fo job but then was called 6 days latter and told it wasn't going to work right now, told to call back in a year or two.
Am I stuck to instructing for ever? Regionals ever a option, 91, 135? Any help is appreciated.
My better half is a senior FA at a regional I wouldn't mind working for if companies could ever look past this. Thanks for any advice. (I know I was wrong to begin with, so please don't butcher me)
