Don’t know why I thought the three takeoffs and landings counted towards instrument currency.

About to be tested on this actually. To carry passengers as PIC. You need three takeoffs and landings in the last 90 days.

Its a 121 reg. Slightly different. See above regs I quoted.

Well this is where interpreting the regs needs to be a graduate degree level type of research event.

I can be "current" as an IFR PIC, but not current to carry pax, day or night. Makes perfect sense to me...
