Info on XOJET

Looking for info from anyone who works for XOJET or knows someone who has worked for them. Mainly schedules for lifestyle.

Two schedule choices: single or double.

Single = 8 days on 6 off
Double = 15 days on 13 off

Home basing more restrictive for single schedule you need to live closer to a major airline hub than double.

Lifestyle is as good as it gets for 135. Lots of time off vacation etc.

Life on the road is good with good support from SOC. Hotels, cars planning all sent to you on your black berry.

Some growing pains, nearly doubled in size in about a year.

The schedule on the road is very demanding lots of max duty and max flight time.

I don't know if they have a base in STP, but there's an X here all the time and no pilots to ever be found. I've been stalking that plane for over a month! haha

Never had any problems finding NetJets or FlexJet guys. XO guys must not get the pleasure of figuring out how to sleep in a recliner and becoming he who commands the t.v.!

Net jets pilots are required to sit at the FBO. XOJET gets the pilots a hotel.

Our company works closely with XO and the pilots really seem to love their job. It is all about who you know, and the range of experience there goes from high-time CFI with a few hundred hours flying BE-55s under pt. 135 to retired 747 captains. Some guys live in the UK, others in Alaska, but most fairly close to a major airport in the lower 48. You get your frequent flier miles, hotel and car rental points, and take amazing vacations for free on your time off. Much better than trying flying standby! Good luck to anyone applying. I once saw a guy "fly" his resume into their office by stuffing in into a toy airplane. Not sure if his creativity got him anywhere.

I've had my stuff in there for a year or so, complete with internal rec. Never heard a thing.

Netjets is a 135, 91k is just for operational control. All the fracs use a GOM, based on 135 and 91k.

I understand and agree I was just being lazy when I first responded. Netjets does have a 135 ticket but 91k does a better job of defining rest and standby or "on call". With XO being just a 135, most POIs are fine with the pilot being on call indefinitely. Also from guys i know that work at netjets, you are either in rest or on call and never both at the same time.

But in reality, the fracs use the 135 rest rules, because to go from 91 to 135 requires you to be 135 rest compliant. So, we actually do everything, 135.
