Examples:
1. Why is NW retiring their DC-9's?
2. Are NW DC-9's staying?
3. Will AA take on Delta in ATL?
4. Why does Delta hate MEM and CVG?
5. 787 is a disaster for Boeing!
And it goes on and on and on.
I've wanted to start a few threads in there, just to stir the pot.
Examples:
1. 757's have 2 wings... A good idea?
2. United 747 routes. IAH to MIA! Is it pushing the limits?
3. AA DC-10's had landing gear, did it work for them?
4. Delta wants to De-hub ATL, looking at SHV.
5. Why does FedEx hate flying cargo?
6. SWA says its not ready for the 737-800.
7.US/AA talks intensify! Pilots arguing on V1 speeds!
8. The 727 was a jet. What it profitable for AirTran?
9. Why didn't PamAm fly to the moon?
10. JAL wants to purchase NW 9's that they retired!

So far, Republic is the only US company to order them. They have an order in for 40 of the 300 version which holds 130 to 160 pax. Not sure who they plan on flying those for unless they placed the order awhile back with the intent to add them to the Frontier fleet. Actually, looking at the total orders, it doesn't seem many airlines are very interested in it at all. Only 177 total so far.

(Not even Embraer calls the 170-190 an RJ, although that might be an error in translation somewhere.)
If we're going all a.net up in here, I will say that I think its quite a good looking plane, pretty bland but still has a bit of flare to it. Reminds me of the Sukhoi Superjet... I'm a sucker for planes with eyeliner.

The fact that an airplane is built by someone besides Boeing or Airbus seems to be the determining factor in who gets to fly it these days.Hear hear . . . it's just a new scheme to pay regional airline wages to pilots that are carrying lots of people for longer distances
