In cockpit cameras..Anybody done it?

Condor does have a aftermarket model with an audio input. http://sportys.com/PilotShop/product/16093

I have a Condor camera but without a view finder I get very little video worth using. As with any HD camera shooting though the prop is a real issue. Also HD cameras can't deal with vibration and that's a problem if you plan to mount it on the aircraft. When I shoot video I use and older camera mounted on the panel to shoot though the prop and a HD camera for the shots out the side windows.

I capture audio with a cell phone adapter (pre-bluetooth) http://sportys.com/PilotShop/product/8936 . I've tried other ways but none work as well as the cell phone adapter.

I just use a helmet cam with a microphone. I stick the microphone inside one of the headset cups with Velcro and then I also stick the camera onto the headset. This way I get intercom and atc audio. Has worked fairly well for me. Have a cheap headset though, which I can manipulate. Records stuff like this:

I looking more for a shot from the glareshield back towards the occupants. Probably going to be the Concour +. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I use the Kodak Zi8 which has a audio jack. Bought the wire and a converting jack (whatever they're called) from Radio Shack. Just plug it into an available audio port.

Here I happened to have it pointed down, but I use a mini tripod to move it where I want.

Anybody have recommendations for recording during flight with intercom audio?

There should be cameras installed on all Part 121 cockpits and recording the flights from pushback to block-in, in the interest of safety.

Why you try to jack my thread mang?

Just some fun levity......... :)

Oh, and user fees.

But I did it because Murdoghnut came up with a solution that answered your question and you were satisfied with. :rawk:
