Yup. Transiting R-2305 is the only way to get from GBN down State Route 85 to transit to the town of Ajo. So clearances through 2305 can routinely be had, they just have you transit below 2000 AGL, or above 10,000 MSL.

Yea I used to take students down there. It was always funny when they showed up with flight plans going the long way around.

I didn't think you could do it at 2000 AGL, they always gave us 500 AGL or lower.

Normally so. Just depends what the status of Range 3/ETAC, and Range's 1/2 are or projected to be at the particular time.

I hear that. But it was a great place to take a 172, walk across the bridge and play a few hands. Now, I'm not sure where you'd even fly in to make it a shorter trip than just driving.

I'm sure there are taxis that would come and rentals available. But the boardwalk isn't walkable from ACY.
