If you feel you were given great service at a FBO

GUYSH! GUYSH! GUYSH!
Please take the time if possible to write a comment on AirNav. That can be the best tip ever for one of us line guys!

Hey Gulley,

I'm thinking about stopping through ARR on my long comm XC, want to earn a good comment?

Damn it...they screen these...ask me how I know?

I know that too. I tired to put a bad review of an FBO at Montgomery, and had no luck. They were horrible. But since I coulden't send them a recipt (AirNav) I couldn't put it there.

Or if the FBO has a comments service, which I'm sure they do, leave one for it.

It shouldnt be necessary to leave comments if you get good service, it should be expected to receive good service, but the FBO I work at (a large, global FBO) they put huge faith in the comment/surveys people fill out. In this case no news is bad news and it makes us look bad.

I've done this before.

Maybe we could get a thread of FBO reviews *here*?

For the benefit of JC members?

I know when I was flying GA finding the right FBO on a cross country was pure gold.

I have the pleasure of flying into Banyan at FXE from time to time. Every person there, from the lowest ramper, to the highest member of management, seems to put customer service first - no matter what you're flying.

while we're on the subject, the only FBO ive felt strongly enough to leave bad comments about has been Business Jet Center in DAL. The line men were great, but i actually had to talk to them if i wanted anything done.

The CSRs were useless and just didnt care. Didnt matter if you were in a 150 or Jerry's GV. They all had a stick up their ass.

:yeahthat: or do them one better and write the FBO manager or corporate. Corportate loves to get letters of praise and it helps when reviews come around for pay raises.

A review?

AAR in okc. Good people crappy FBO.

Best FBO= KIWS they will treat you like gold weather you fly a 150 or a challenger 300. Check out the airnav if you ever hit Houston. Not one bad thing is said and it's the truth. I worked line crew there for a year. Amazing airport and a great place.

Careful... Yeah it's funny, but not "cost someone their job" funny. FBO owners do check that stuff.

Yeah, I don't think that's ever funny, considering MANY people check airnav for FBO reviews and things like that could make or break a sale. Especially considering the fact that we, as line guys, strive to get good reviews and that's just real crappy to know you've done a good job only to find a negative, false comment.

Some people need to grow up, or just have a really weird, unethical sense of humor.

To add on my previous one image post...usually if we get a nice comment left on Airnav, the good news spreads through the ranks pretty quickly and sometimes helps our bad morale for a little bit. Call it silly, but everyone gets all giddy if we get a nice airnav comment around here. Our last one is from late last year.

I wish we would get more of them so we could prove to management that all of us are worth a raise and not a raise freeze.

I try to always review an FBO when I go. Whether good or bad. Even if it is just to make sure that my plane is good to fly after a vacuum pump (I was a young pilot) and the mechanics came out to help me instead of me calling back to my home base) without being asked or without being paid. (I bought them lunch though)

It's pretty sad the way AirNav handles the comments. You can say anything you want about a good experience.

If you have a bad experience, by the time you go through AirNav's "process", you're even more upset. This might be the idea behind their system; it's to much trouble to post a poor review, that's why you really don't see that many.

An FBO review would be a great catagory here....
