If you feel you were given great service at a FBO

I have the pleasure of flying into Banyan at FXE from time to time. Every person there, from the lowest ramper, to the highest member of management, seems to put customer service first - no matter what you're flying.

I was a line guy working there for about a year, and I flew (and still fly from time to time) an airplane based at Banyan. It was a great place to be a line guy, and its a great place to be based. Its proof positive that if you treat your employees right, they will give their best effort.

It's pretty sad the way AirNav handles the comments. You can say anything you want about a good experience.

If you have a bad experience, by the time you go through AirNav's "process", you're even more upset. This might be the idea behind their system; it's to much trouble to post a poor review, that's why you really don't see that many.

An FBO review would be a great catagory here....

Not a bad idea.

So many companies today fail to understand that. If you treat your employees right they will go the extra mile for the company. Screw your employees and they'll only work hard enough to get the check at the end of the week.

Bingo. Or they even just get fed up and keep quitting like the place I worked at.

:yeahthat:

We are in the second category, and it shows.

I ended up leaving a bad comment for Tomball Jet Center at KDWH after they broke my plane's nose strut and refused to pay for it. Airnav contacted me after contacting the fbo and let the comment stand. So then Tomball made it so that no one can leave comments on Airnav. Watch out for fbo's that don't allow comments. I had a bad experience with the jetcenter at KFNL and low & behold, they didn't allow comments to be left.

I also try to leave good comments for fbo's when they do a good job like Kemp at KOGD.

I wish we would get more of them so we could prove to management that all of us are worth a raise and not a raise freeze.

That reminds me that I still need to make a flight up there to say hey. Guess I'll have to make a comment on Airnav afterwords.

Our planes are based at Tomball Jet, and I can say that I haven't been to very many places that are worse than that place... I have been involved in two other instances that they damaged planes and denied they had any part and refused to pay for it. Once they twisted the towbar bolts clean off a stut from turning past limits, the other a plane had massive hanger rash and they denied that until I went into the hanger and showed them our paint on another planes damaged wing. Witnessed a linemans golf cart run full speed into the elevator of a cessna, I could go on and on....

Please take the time if possible to write a comment on AirNav. That can be the best tip ever for one of us line guys!
I already did! :p :p jk, anyway that ARR FBO you work at is pretty darn good.

On the other hand, I've left negative reviews on airnav before. I think it depends on how you word your comment. I've never had an issue and all of my negative comments have indeed been posted on airnav.

I gotta give a big shout-out to the line and MX guys at San Antonio Aviation(KSSF). Today they happily dropped everything, twice, to help me with two mx issues on the 206 and quickly had me flying again.

I always leave constructive comments on airnav at pretty much all the places I've been through. I see it as helping the next guy out since the quality of service varies so wildly and there are so many airports out there if you can skip the bad ones perhaps those poor places will get better.
