"Ice Pilots" New Reality TV Show

Very cool on the proxy!!!

FYI, you don't need firefox to use it. All browsers allow proxy settings. I am using IE and I got the video playing with the proxy. Kind of cool to type www.yahoo.com and it takes you to www.yahoo.ca automatically. lol

First episode was pretty good. Them there boys are true Freight Dawgs...that's 'fo 'sho!

I do have a problem with one thing. One of the pilot's said "There is a saying that flying is hours of boredom punctuated with sheer moments of fear, ehhh."

I don't remember ever hearing the "ehhh" part before. ;)

I wish I was smarter, but cannot get the video to work with IE 8. I put the proxy address into the proxy server lan address. I am guessing I did that wrong?

Pretty sure you have to use Firefox and the foxyproxy add-on to change your IP. After I installed it, it was pretty easy to do.

How are things going loady?

Sub was saying you could do it on any browser, but I am guessing there is more to it than my little old noggin can take!

I am itchin to see this show though and can't even find a torrent for it!

Things are great here man how are you?

I don't know... I have IE8 and I input the proxy at:
Tools,
Internet Options,
Connections,
LAN settings,
Proxy server.

Make sure you have the box checked and Port 80 (default) selected.

Some troubleshooting ideas:
1.) After you enter the proxy, can you navigate to any webpages or is the problem just loading that video? (This will tell if your ISP is allowing the proxy to go through)
2.) If you type in yahoo.com does the browser take you to the US version or the Canadian version? (This will tell whether the proxy is working)

I guess if all else fails then do that Firefox thing.:dunno: It's worth it too because that show was AWESOME!!!

I certainly can't complain. As much as I hate to admit it, I think I might start looking at some other MWS to get on. I love Freddy and all, but the schoolhouse gig is getting old and I am not itching to get back to Dover or Travis. I am hearing some good rumors on some G-V assignments that might be opening up, so might check into that. It would be hard to give up the box nasties for fine China and pretty radio operators, but I think I would survive.

Civilian flying is also going good...enjoying the hell out of it really, especially since it's much cooler now! :)

I still need to get out to one of the Dallas M&G's to meet some of the fine TX aviatiors out there including yourself!

DUDE! Over 2,000 posts...damn, guess that would make me a JC junkie.

Yup that is where I put it in. I could not get to any webpages, so I guess my ISP is not allowing proxy...poo. Last ditch effort for Firefox now. If not, I am sure someone will have a Torrent soon.

Yeah I never knew how you did the schoolhouse thing for so long. Never my cup of tea. Sexy G-V, Sexy Radio Operators...Sounds win win to me dude! And yeah...get up here!

Well that was a pain in the arse, but got it working. Cannot WAIT to watch this show! I can't decide whether to DVR the last episode of WWII in HD or hold off on the Ice Pilots. I like these kind of tough decisions!

I think it is like Alaska and they rely heavily upon GA.
It is very much like that.

I have a couple of friends who are FO's on 99's up in Yellowknife, and it is a very busy airport flying to every known gravel strip known to man in the middle of nowhere. Some of the oldest aircraft Twotter's etc too... it's generally an era in aviation frozen in time (pun intended) but very cool still.

Somedays I kinda pipe dream about leaving ATC and going to fly up there.

This is driving me nuts. I downloaded the foxyproxy (basic), used the recommended address and port 80.

Still doesn't work.

WTF?

Just got done watching the first episode...Not bad. Definitely better than the old SW Airline series. Nothing can imitate the awesome sound of a radial engine like those old workhorses.

WTF?

After you "Add new proxy" with 132.213.9.222 and port 80, go to the mode selection on the first screen and select
Use Proxy "132.213.9.222" for all URLs
.

Go as far as it will let you go, right up until you get the USA FAIL message, then load up the FoxyProxy voodoo.
