The problem with statements like that is it's all subjective. What is an overpriced and unneccessary feature for you (for example, pretty aluminum cases on the laptops, or great support for high-end video editing) may be something that another person is perfectly happy to pay for. Just like a Bose headset. Joe Pilot that flies 50 hours a year in his J3 off his back field is going to view a Bose headset as HUGELY overpriced. Replace Joe Pilot with a full-time CFI, and the percieved value of the headset skyrockets.
