I love teh 1900

We're only down to 5 or 6 of those now. The rest have gone all over the world and I think one crashed somewhere overseas.

2. Under what operational conditions/configuration is it considered normal to have a BLEED AIR FAIL annunciator illuminate?

2) When you do the T-Test.

Seggy.......I'm disappointed! Us FO's are the environmental specialist's!

When you do the T-test, you're testing the over temperature switch of the environmental bleed, which will automatically close the precooler and through way bypass valves as well as the overtemp/over press. valve. Therefore the only annunciators you should get are " L/R Envir FAIL" and "Enviro OFF" annunciators. Memory items - " Environmental Bleed off, then back on".

L/R Bleed Air Fail annunciators indicate the EVA tubing has detected a leak or rupture in the bleed air line - totally seperate system from environmental. Thats the Pneumatic system. If you turn both bleeds to Inst. Environ OFF, then you will get both BL Air annunciators.

I believe the only time you can have the Bleed Air fail annunciators illuminated during normal operations, is prior to engine start with the battery switch on. Once one engine come online, Inst. Bleed air has to be supplied, and that satisfies the EVA tubing with 18PSI. :D

I'll crawl back into my sim hole. :D

Nah, I know I was thinking when you combine the T-Test with the Bleed Air Test during the first flight of the day checks.

I was wrong and it could actually occur when you have the Brake De-Ice On and you have a low power setting. Haven't seen it yet.

I've always had an affinity for the 1900..

I actually sort of hope that by the time I am hireable, there are still some around to fly commercially.

Sure, because when you have Brake de-ice on, you're running a lot of bleed air, so you could technically drop below 18PSI in your EVA tubes with a low power setting, thus tripping the annunciator.

When you do the T-test with the bleed air test in FFOD checks, why would the BL Air Fail annunciator illuminate? I thought you shut off the right BL air, make sure nothing illuminates and check your vac pres. Then turn the right back on, then shut off the left and make sure each side carries the system. I could be wrong, haven't done FFOD checks yet, but Billy talks about them all the time.

Got my first "Identify/Cancel" last night on take off...had to abort. That was interesting!! :D

The T-Test and the Bleed Air Test are different. I was just stupid and combined the words in my post! :)

You check the Bleed Air Valve Instr and ENVIR off and you will get the Bleed Air lights to illuminate.

How is the sim going?

Got your message, didn't get an answer when I called you back.

First day of sim went pretty well I guess. My flying partner and I did pretty good on callouts, and considering I'm sick as a dog, I flew pretty well. My head was hurting so bad I just wanted to get the heck out. But once I strap in the seat, its business as usual.

Today I'm feeling a bit better, after pounding meds and vitamins. So hopefully tonight I'll be a bit more ahead of the airplane, last night I was dragging behind. If it weren't for the flight director....ugh...:)
