After working around the 1900 for the past week (sitting in the cockpit a couple of times) and flying down to BOS an back on BigSky last night, I have found my calling.

I LOVE the 1900. It RokrZ!!!111!!!

Seriously Screw the Jets.

I don't need 6 TVs to fly an airplane.

A 1900 driver is a pilot, an RJ driver is a systems manager.

Once I get my stuff done and fly scenics and CFI for a bit, I'm holding out for Colgan, or Big Sky.

Oh and chicks dig BETA

Agree. But you know the ATR's and Dash 8's make the best beta sounds--there's something about a 13-ft prop moving at 900RPM that just sounds cool.

And OldTownPilot--I'm glad you like the 1900, and I think it's a cool airplane too, but you're mistaken if you thin that all you have to do in the RJ is manage systems. :)

There once were 1900's in quasi-Delta colors for a period of time. Can anyone name the airline?

Did Big Sky paint the 1900's in Delta's scheme yet? I would love to see one...

Nah they are in a hybrid blue white scheme.

To be honest with you I HATE their scheme. It is to 'pretty-boyish'. I like the multi-colored fading that ours and Air Midwest has. You show up and the cowling is like 10 different colors.

That is what the schemes should ALL be on the Beech. Adds character to the ships.

Manage what? If you want the first class snack box before the flight or after the flight?

;)

Well there is the all white one. One of the blue ones is missing a bunch of paint on the winglets. Some say "Big Sky", others say "Big Sky Airlines". Some have blue titles, and one has Green ones. There is a little variety in the paint.

The best 1900's show all the rivets and have an all while radome and oil streaks all down the cowling.:D

Your what Gulfstream calls their "target market"

Glad to see you love the 1900. Just take it easy on us "Systems Operators."

Just curious, you're into the 1900...why the need to take the shot at the RJ?

Do you dislike the Boeing/Airbus too? LNAV/VNAV/Autothrottle/Autoland....

I'm not against a jet job, heck thats where I want to be in a few years. Continental 756 FO here I come. I just really want to fly a 1900 for a while as part of the journey.
