I hate updating logbook

I update it everyday. The 2 minutes it takes to make 1-3 entries is nothing compared to what it would take to make2+ months worth of entries.
 
I am definitely thinking about logbook pro. As the amount of flying I am about to do is gonna start increasing I need a way to keep track of it all better. Is that what most of you guys are using for an electronic logbook?

What's a crapshoot is when you realize your totals are different. Especially when you track down the error and it's something stupid in your paper logbook... I hope no one that ever looks at it is a neat freak.
 
It can be torment, but is also satisfactory to add some hours to TT :)

Similar question....what are the best apps for this?
 
I use LogTen....pretty simple to update in my Iphone and then transfer to my Mac.

I never transferred my 3 paper logbooks to electronic....Just the totals went to my digital.
 
Not that I need to know in any time in the near future, but what do Logbook Pro or Logten users bring to interviews? Do you just whip out the iPad, or do you bring one of the print summaries?

Professionally print and bind it......never use an iPad for an interview logbook....at least I wouldn't.

I am going through this right now, have found several small errors and stuff in it. I am transferring my logbook to logten and finding things as I am putting them in the iPad. What I am doing is making small notes on a piece of paper, and on the last page of entries in my paper logbook I am going to make one massive amendment to the "times forwarded" at the bottom, and attach a note in the page of the logbook explaining the reason behind the amendment. I am buying a new professional logbook that has more detailed columns than my current one. So I am putting the big amendment on the last page of my first logbook before I make the final total calculations for the book.

I have asked several guys I work with about how they would go about the situation and they all just suggested making one large amendment and properly document the changes.

I'd also agree with this strategy.
 
I have logbook pro. Does anyone use the airline pilot daily log add-on? What about the schedule importer? Any value in adding those?
 
I've heard good things about MCCpilotlog. One time fee and it has a FLICA importer (not sure about other formats). Anyone use it?
I currently use Zululog EX and flightlogg.in both of which do the job well but am intrigued by the ability to automatically import schedules.

I had logbookpro for about 2 years but ditched it about 6 months ago for MCC. They have an importer linked to the scheduling software that my airline uses. I never have to enter anything in and just click "update" about every month. Fills it all in for me.
 
I haven't touched mine since I started at my current airline... and I don't want to pay the few dollars per month that companies like logbook pro charge. I already have enough things that cost a few dollars per month. I think when I do go back in and update it then I will probably just do each line by the week since I rarely fly anytihg outside of work.
