Did he also mention that they never flew higher than 8,000'?I flew with a guy that had him as a passenger, said after they landed Yeager told him off because his altitude was +/-100ft. He was using his altimeter watch inside of a pressurized airplane. Wouldn't have believed it except I trust the guy who told me and it correlates with other stories I've read.
