You can kind of look at it as a sales job. The most commission I ever earned was ten percent of what I sold.
By that standard, the money a CFI gets as a percentage of what his employer bills ain't too shabby.

True. Perhaps I'm a bit spoiled then, I get an hourly and a commission at my sales job.
