You're still below us up here, sadly. How much is too much?
The rates went up at my school AGAIN.
I'm looking at 95 for a 172 w/o GPS and 55 an hour for instructor!
Plus a $5 an hour fuel charge...
True...:yeahthat:Yeah, I'd like to know how much of that $55 actually makes it to the instructor.
I
If I was one hour under the minimum and they wanted to charge me full price for that hour I'd take 2 gas cans, go out to the plane and syphon out the 8 gallons I would have burned otherwise. (I can be a prick but I dont think I'd try this outside my home area)
Not very much. Typical would be $10-$20Yeah, I'd like to know how much of that $55 actually makes it to the instructor.

What point. My school keeps their rental rates lower on the Cirrus's by charging more for a instructor in the Cirrus. It works out good if you are a renter, but you pay a bit more when learning. Its give or take.Exactly, which is part of my point.

I bet that school is run by a dirty crooked bastard....
I don't know. . . my point is that how do you, as an instructor, feel good about charging a customer $55 for an hour of your services, when your boss only ends up giving you $10-15 of it.
I'd have a hard time working for someone like that. May just be me.
