How much did you fly this year? - 2022

Anyone that drives onto a beach without an air compressor seems silly to me,

It’s a required piece of equipment here and they do check (along with shovel, Jack and Jack board, portable toilet and either fishing or surfing gear.) Although some of the beaches have air at the exit. I had an ARB compressor I installed on the second battery tray under the hood.

They don't pave the roads in Kentucky? Might have been better to go with something with more ground clearance.

Handled. Even has an air compressor, so I guess I could go to the "beach" on Long Island if I didn't just burst in to flames when exposed to direct sunlight.

Please understand, I'm laughing at-me-with-you. If anyone had suggested that I would wind up such a stereotypical yuppie dork when I was 25, I would have thrown my beer on them. I guess one eventually becomes what they behold, or something.

In my extremely tenuous defense, it IS a diesel, has like 150k on the clock, it'll pull the bikes, and you can't exactly daily a Cayman in February in Kentuckistan...

My logbook says 842 for the year, which means I credited about 855 or so. I did have a couple of months for training so that slowed me down.

In September, they parked me for a week since I was at 997 on the rolling 12 month clock, so there’s that.

haha I had this flight school roommate who had an S. Actually he first had a Ford Lightning. Was from socal......sounded/talked like all those reality shows from 20 years ago. We had this rotation for our house in MS where we got to park our cars in the garage for the night (I had the //AMG of course, at the time). He ended up getting perpetually hung up on what his next car would be, and what the best manual trans with also a seat A/C could be. He once accosted my (future wife who was staying with us for a weekend) about whether she (I kid you not) literally stole one of his eggos. Like "leggo my eggo" in real life. You really can't make this up. I think we were maybe 26-27 at the time, to your point.
