I certainly hope your local CAP is not renting out corporate aircraft for private activities. That is a really really big no-no in CAP.
The Cap Flying Group in Orlando is no longer affiliated with Civil Air Patrol. While it began 17 years ago as a CAP flying club, it is now an independent entity.
By the way, Doug, I know this seems like an ad, but I am only a CFI in the group and I happen to help out with the website. If this is a commercial activity let me know and I will desist!!!!
On the other hand, they may be interested in a banner ad on your site. Should I check in to that?
Those are all at Air Orlando. Occasionally I'll jump over to CAP (see JT's post above for the 172N) and I THINK their new 172R is $58 dry. There's also a couple of Arrows for about the same price.
wow, ya'll are lucky. Its much more $ in CA. at CMA I dont think there are any 172's under $90/hr wet(not new). If I wanna drive over an hour, at EMT its $57 on a 20 hour block, but its the only place I have heard of that is that cheap.
