How many regional pilots can REALLY meet this requirement?

I wouldn't say it's everything, as you still have to be able to perform. If you can't do that, then who you know won't matter.......of course, there are always exceptions.
I love how a lot of applications still specify turbo-jet, when they really mean not turbo prop, because most people's time now is in turbo fans. (Turbo props with shrouds.)

Sitting just in front of the engines in a 757. "That ain't no jet!" I think I'd rather sit next to the props on a Saab than listen to the noise that I would describe as mechanical throw up from a turbo-fan.

If you meet the minimums and have a good internal recommendation, I'm talking someone that will walk into the pilot selection office and sit down with the manager of pilot selection, you will get an interview.

And by internal, I don't just mean some dude that you met in a bar that says, "yeah man ill write you something" either.

100% success I've had with that technique.
Can you walk my stuff in? :)

I get a kick out of 80s music at the very least. "ZOMG ELEKTRONIK INSTRUMENTS!!!! Use them for EVERYTHING!!!!!" "Oh SNAP! COMPUTERS!"

Hell, I just love when the drums kick in: Ga-joong ga-joongy joong ga joong ga doom
