I bought about 10,000 shares of Mesa when it was at a nickel and made a good profit on it.

That is no where near correct. Yahoo Finance lists the IPO price at $147. I remember very clearly that it was actually around $17. I don't think it ever topped its IPO. XJT hovered around $15 for years. Still a bad investment though.

Didn't they have a "reverse split"? Maybe those numbers are on a corrected "per 1 current share".

Joel: He is accounting for the 10 for 1 reverse split. Maybe you had already left for southern jets when that happened.

No no, but hell no. The only people making money on our stock are management that cash out their options at conveniently placed times. I thought about buying in when it was in the $2 range, but I'd have had to invest a rather large chunk to make much money.

HOLY CRAP! That was you? Good time that night was. Especially because that is when I found out that I finally sold that POS house in Kingwood.

Yep! I remember that trip well, right down to your explanations of why all the fixes are named the way they are on the arrival into BHM. You're an excellent tour guide :p Too bad XE doesn't fly to BGR anymore, that was a good overnight.

I'm not working where I can invest in the company (or I'm totally invested depending on how you look at it), but I don't buy single stocks period. Too many eggs in one basket.

With that said, I own some single stocks, but it's because they were given as gifts and it's not enough shares to make it worth cashing in.

Sweet jebus, I don't even remember that one. I guess I was just making it up then. :D

And, I was wrong. It wasn't that I sold a house, it was that I just made a deal to buy my current house. I knew it had something to do with real estate. Anyway, it made me happy enough to spring for beers for everyone, including that Mesa crew (they were Mesa, right?).
