How did you meet your significant other?

I met my wife in college. I dated her roommate first, but my eyes were secretly on Blythe (my wife). The roommate and I fizzled out quickly, then she graduated. For my senior year, I moved into my own apartment and noticed Blythe outside one day. She had moved into the apartment building directly across the street from mine. We hadn't seen each other in about a year. We started talking, and the rest is history. That was in 1996. :)

Mesa PACE program a couple of years ago...:)...he's now in Eagle training...

(see, not all horribleness comes from Mesa...well, maybe, I got the one good thing...hahahah...)

Mine came from Mesa too and he was quite a catch!
He lasted 3 years there and then moved on to a better airline that treats him with respect!

I'm still taking applications. :D

Heh. My parents had Compuserve. After my dad saw the bill for usage the first month, my mom was no longer allowed near our Tandy Color Computer. :)
yup, that's what doug and I used to hook up too.

We met on the inter-web (as doug calls it) back in the early 90's when browsers didn't even HAVE images!!

now a days, there's more than technogeeks on here, so you gotta be careful.

I moved in may, she moved next door a month later.
Two months later she moved across the country...sucker me, followed. :panic:

I met my wife at church in Ft. Pierce, FL. This is how I reacted after our first kiss........... LOL!!!!!!!!

That was back in July '01. We were married 8/03/02. We have one son, Caleb.

Match.com....sure went out with a few real winners, but really happy with the latest. It's almost looking at Consumer's Report before "test driving" the car. Wouldn't do it any other way.

Oh the BBS...I kinda miss the simplicity :laff:

;)At an old job! I was working in an archery store and here comes this cute little thing and everyone takes notice. As is the case with most guys, everyone was talking a big game to each other, but none of them had the pair to go and talk to her.

So while the rest of the shop was talking about her, I was talking to her. As they say, you know when you know! It didn't take me to long to realize that I wanted to ask her out. She said she'd be back in a little while. I figured we would never see each other again.

About two days later she shows up with a target bow. The shop was slow so we began talking and she convinced me to get my bow out. Things were going good so I asked her to lunch. She said "lets each take one shot, 20 yards, if you beat me I'll go to dinner with you". We both hit the X so it came to the second shot. She went first and Robin Hooded the arrow. I didn't even shoot again. She did agree to dinner though.

That night I find out she went to Texas A&M on an archery scholarship and was 1st alternate for the U.S. Olympic team when they were in Atlanta. In any case, we got back at 5 a.m. the next morning and that was over 4 years ago! In that time she has put up with a whole lot so I am thinking it is time for a ring!

At a bar while I was on groundschool in Brisbane Aus. Turned out she was a FA based there, and I was based on the other side of the country! 4 weeks later, I had to leave... 2 months later, she moved across the country! Still going strong over a year later and about to move to Hong Kong together (Cathay)!

So...you were the charming prince who saved the girl? ;)

Hahaha. Well, here is the short version... I was the first to get there and help her. It was Halloween night and I was heading home from the station when I rolled up on the accident. She was freeking out from the whole thing. The accident was an honest mistake. I thought there would be drinking involved because of Halloween night and everyone being at a party. While she was crying and we were waiting for more help to arrive she told me her dog was in the car. I went over and sure enough the dog was dead.

More help arrived so I figured I would head home. She came over and asked that I stayed because no one cared she was basically having the worst day of her life. She told me she was at a Halloween party and left to go home because she didn't feel good. She was dressed as Dorthy and her dog was Todo from the Wizard of Oz.

When everything was finishing up she asked for my card because she appreciated everything. The next day I got a text message saying that she really appreciated it and so on. We exchanged a few texts here and there than phone calls. Now we are dating.

The end.

Thanks Cougar :)
