Hilarious Lego Airline satire video

I've seen a couple guys wearing the NW belt buckle.... generally ok... be aware of SLI issues.

Wearing the pre-merger DL south Wings? WARNING WARNING anger issues are abundant! NW SHOULD HAVE BEEN STAPLED.

....Never encountered a guard nazi among all the crazies and less than crazies. The guard idiots are regional dudes.... otherwise it wouldn't be all "work work work work" chattering on freq. Half the guys at the legacies still have flip phones much less under stand what youtoobz is.
Can confirm, 100%, re: the legacy pilot I am related to.

He has an iPhone. Kind of. He sort of understands how to use it. Sort of.

Religion - Nope. Well, once, a captain asked me where I went to church and I jokingly answered "The Church of the Holy Triumvirate. I am a Priest of the Temple of Syrinx near Cygnus-X" and lets just say it became a long two-man crossing to Dublin that night.

How many Captains even get the Rush reference?

Eh. Derg's explanation is the most correct one. Most guys/gals went down the list and said "belt, 1 ea, black....got it". The uniform allowance didn't cover anything but the essentials, and hardly even that.

I have't seen any "Airmail" wings in 6 years, so...

Agree. The only way to really tell a "Northie" from a "Southie", other than the random luggage tag, is to ask*. In the end, the similarities are more than the differences.

*Except on the ER, when they ask for "FELTCH" instead of "Flight Level Change" on the MCP.

No coffee yet, not sure what you mean by this???

In the Brand X days up north, they had it scripted to where they would go to guard at 10k. That carried through as a technique being taught around fifi world long time post merger, though our manuals state that when 2 isn't otherwise occupied, it shall be used to monitor guard.

Getting rid of that 10k procedure turned technique has kept more than a couple crews out of trouble when they ended up in no mans land taxiing around or down low.

It wasn't meant as a jab! The jab was at the south guys that wear the old widget... that is a clear warning!

And yep... I've never seen anyone wear the airmail wings once the uniform transferred over.

Gotcha.

Yeah, it's on Guard here 99.99999% of the time as well....altitude doesn't matter.

True story...

I was just having lunch at a local (not touristy) sandwich place and two guys sat down at the table next too me.

I kid you not...

Work, work, work, Green Slip
Work, work, work, SLC
Work, work, work, drones.

It's real.

What is a green slip?

It's pronounced "FILCH", like you're saying Chic-fil-a backwards without the -a or -ic

Still sounds like "Felch".

And if you're good with that, it's "OK". Not my thing, but fly that Kink Flag proudly! :)

That'll get you a debrief on a check ride around here. The call out is "Flight Level Change, 210" at acceleration altitude. Not "Filch, 210"

We only get like 3 a year who say Filch, and we beat it out of them pretty quickly. :)
