Highest Flight Level?

Did some checking and i believe i owe you an apology, now i'm not sure what s/n i worked on. In any case it was perfect for kvny-klas.
I'm jealous to have never seen one in person. I would do practically anything to fly a 28 or 29!

Please don't say that, someone might hear you. These days a 28 is a toy for people with more money than brains, it's like a warbird and maintaining it will outweigh any profit.

I hear ya but in general lately I've flown for people that does use airplanes to turn a profit.

410 is the highest. I took a C-150 up to 12,500 one time; had a fun time spiralling that thing back down.

625 is my groundspeed record, beating my original of 621... both set in a CR7 at about 31000 heading from ATL to PHF. You can get some perfect tailwinds on that particular flight.

Made it to FL510 today coming back from Cali. Burning 700 per side and maintained .80 in a X with winglets. 5000 fuel reaching FL510 and no pax.

Funny thing is, when we were at FL450 and requested FL490 for our first step, we weren't allowed because there was another X headed in the opposite direction who had a block altitude and was sitting at 50500 feet. Sort of weird sitting at FL470 and looking up for traffic.

API winglets are awesome. I have some on the hawker.

Today's experiment: "What's the affect of cosmic radiation on my genitals?"

In all seriousness, that's neat. Could you see the curvature of the earth? I generally don't go up above 450 because we don't carry enough O2 to comply with the regs during extended cruise at those altitudes. Besides, 510 in a Lear seems like Niagara falls in an inflatable canoe. It'll probably do it, but that don't make it smart. ;-)

Ha, we only stayed up there for about ten minutes. There's really no need to to be that high and it was the first time seeing the X act like a dog. Took a few pics and yeah, if you look close enough, you see the Earth's curvature.

In the CE650 trying to get over some weather

Did FL480 at one time... also in the 650... but if you don't get pictures, it doesn't count.
