13.5 in a DA42
Until the coolant leaked or gear reduction box failed, right?13.5 in a DA42
The O2 masks are an option on the Dashes, we had them on the 200. Lynx didn't have them on the 400 but they had this program on their FMS that would color code areas where they could still do an emergency descent in the mountains.I thought the 250 limit was because of the lack of O2 masks in the back for the pax?
IIRC the Dash has something like a 7000-8000 ft cabin at 250.
Made it to 50,600' a couple days ago. Pics to follow.![]()
That's awesome! What type of airplane were you flying? Also, is your camera exaggerating the sky color, or is it really that dark? Pretty darn cool nonetheless.
and you can only get Mach .688. I'll wait for the supersonic biz jet bf I think about going to 50k+Lear 45. I took it with my iphone. Like someone else has already mentioned, to get to FL510, the stars have to align. You must be empty, almost out of fuel, and by time you make it up there, it's time to come back down.
FL280 so far....Damn turboprops.....
The only reason I want to fly a jet... and something like a lear is because I want to see the earth curve and the sky turn dark/black in mid day.
