treat it like a glider. 172's will go much higher, especially with some outside lift.I just cleared 10,000 feet two weeks ago and got to 10,500 in a c172...talk about a long time coming up
from my stupider days.... FL180 (+280ft) in a C172.FL139 in both a C-172SP and 182RG, If I had O2 I could have gone much higher in both. The C-172 was still doing about 200fpm at vx.
Fly it like a glider! Well above Vy, and still getting 500fpm at 13k, and later even better. This is in a O-320-E2D engine(150hp) 172M.FL139 in both a C-172SP and 182RG, If I had O2 I could have gone much higher in both. The C-172 was still doing about 200fpm at vx.
must have been doing something shady. Service ceiling is fl510.got you all beat didnt fly it but controlled it,back in the day there was a LR28 that was flying from somewhere in the east coast to KMKE every morning at FL530.
All 4?Might have been a LR29, the CIA bought almost all of them.
Yup they were doing something shady. I'm pretty sure the 29's ceiling is 510. However, it is the government......Might have been a LR29, the CIA bought almost all of them.
