My son turns 3 tomorrow and is chomping at the bit for Lego City stuff. Just a few more years dude! I'm 33.

Weak, I build Legos with my 2.5 year old.

My boy turns 3 tomorrow and now that I finally got him in bed I get to play with some of his loot...

Is this snowflake creep? Typical handwringing of the third millennium.

Everyone has suck in their lives. It's purely a modern notion that it is possible to not have suck in your life.

The problems in my family life have been copious. This kind of stuff didn't even make the radar screen.

Yep......and now they're getting married this summer.

One step closer to being a grandpa :) Or "officially old" if you rather ;)

Nah, it's actually pretty awesome.

Zero regrets.

So far. I flew with a CA that had his first kid at 51. :)

Before the kid, the wife was #1 and never thought I'd like, love, or care for someone as much. Then once the kid came, everything changed. Now she knows that he is #1. If it came down to it, eg, have to save a life and can only save one, I don't think any parent would hesitate to say they would choose to save the kid. The amount of love and appreciation in one's life (IMO) changes after a child. If we're all lucky enough to hit the old age and go out in the twilight years, it would be nice to have someone by the side and know you are passing something on even after you're gone. I dunno. That's probably going into a sentimental argument.

You should make Hallmark cards, but nope nope nope.

I'm glad you're happy with kids, that's great. But they are wholly unnecessary in order to assure a full, wonderful, robust life.

It's literally like hearing someone say, "Well Doug, until you get a Ford F250, you haven't driven" — but I live in the suburbs, haul NOTHING besides the occasional flatscreen television every few years and, well, I appreciate garage space.
