I used to use this forum when I was younger and ATC was hiring civilians. This was a great place for info and pep talks, especially when you got turned down for an opportunity. I went through the application process like so many online friends that I made here and like so many others, I passed the exam but wasn’t chosen. But this forum showed me other opportunities in aviation. I decided that dispatch was for me in the end. Alas life got in the way…but after a little more than a decade I finally passed my ADX practical and oral exam this week and I’m officially an FAA Dispatcher. Although life circumstances took me on a different route for a bit, the dream never died and I owe that to this community. Keep lifting each other up and reaching for the skies!
