If I’m not going international, I’ll typically bring in paper bowls and bagged chopped salad, tomatoes, sliced almonds, grilled meats, etc - and make killer salads.
Wraps using home grilled meats are also good, as are canned soups for the hotel (makes the rollaboard kinda heavy, tho). Go-to snacks are hard boiled eggs (grocery sells them packaged in 2’s, de-shelled, with little salt and peppers), almonds, ostrim sticks, or power bars.
Usually, I spend a great deal of time packing healthy stuff, then end up eating crap on the road anyway, because it’s more appetizing!
