God now I know what you guys are bitching about in the RJ. I sat in the very last seat against the window last night coming home from SLC. I sat next to a guy who was 6'2" and probably weighed 220. My neck hurt, my back was sore, and I felt closterphobic when we finally landed. I had my turbine all bunched up to use as a pillow.

The Canadians did a horrific job of designing the interior of the BarbieJet-200.
The Canucks who designed it that way need beatdowns for it...

Try sitting there in an MD-80, plus you always have the excitement of never knowing when the engine will explode and kill you (well it happened once, but it could happen again.

You had a point you were trying to make I'm sure, what was it?
Just to let you know seggy--the CRJ's engines have a kevlar lining around the N1 blades, which is supposed to keep them from rocketing into the fuselage and beheading people. I kind of assumed it was BS and that it wouldn't work, but the NTSB report said that despite the fact that the whole N1 section flew off, there was minimal damage to the fuselage. I think that was the guy' point.
Yeah, the Beech has Kevlar as well by the fuselage parallel to the props. The official reason is to protect the airframe from ice being slinged by the prop heat, but I wonder if it there also to protect the cabin from a stray prop coming on it!
Good ole DC 13.4's for me. But after a 8 leg day my head feels like it weights about 200lbs. We were slingin ice today, had some nice new dents on the side of the pannels.
