I've heard their starting pay sucks and you have to perform crew scheduling duties outside regular office hours.

That is...interesting. I wonder how they are getting around the dispatcher duty time limitations in 121 Subpart P if they require additional duty to the company. Maybe they're scheduled for five 8-hour shifts instead of the slightly more normal four 10's?

As I recall, you are expected to do crew scheduling duties in addition to dispatching the flights. Dealing with sick calls, etc. No matter how good the pay is, that would be a deal killer for me.

Yeah, to thoroughly monitor flight progress while talking to Captain Bob, 105235, who doesn't like his trip pairing would be challenging.

I do that right now, trust me when I say it SUCKS!!!

I hope FAA Inspectors monitor that closely to ensure that there's time to flight follow. However, I think I already know that answer to that.

I heard from an old colleague that they DO NOT provide transportation to Hawaii or a hotel room. It is on your own dime. Apparently they also do not offer relocation. I would still totally go and work for them because of the plethora of ETOPS flights that they do (and trust me when you deal with Japan, it is not ALWAYS VFR)....I think it would be alot of fun. Plus my wife would totally love to live in Hawaii.
