Has anyone here ever flown anyone famous?

Tfaudree gets to fly with me every week or so. He usually doesn't make it weird but sometimes he asks for an autograph.

I've trained a former NFL player, if that counts for anything. I've also trained a lot of prominent businessmen, but I'm not sure if that counts for "famous" if they're not well known outside the local city. I suppose if I went to a Chamber of Commerce event I could look pretty cool dropping names.

My charter pilot friends are the ones who have flown numerous celebrities over the years.

First trip of my airline career on IOE, we flew Bill Murray. He was real nice, came up and shook our hands and signed the captain's logbook and even said nice landing to me, and "thanks for stayin' awake."

Our F/A was really cool and on the way to JAX they were talking for a few minutes about where he was headed. He ended up inviting us to his Caddyshack golf tournament thing he does each year there ("party's tonight...I plan on peaking late"), but we were continuing on to a few more cities that day to layover somewhere else. I should've thrown a rock through the engine upon arrival at JAX. :)

Some other people so far in my few years at the airlines, not that many yet, but a couple supreme court justices and actors and coincidentally Andie McDowell as well, so I can say I have flown both of the starring actors in Groundhog Day.

Don't know if it counts but I've flown escort for H. Clinton, Robert Gates, Dallas Cheerleaders, Chuck Norris, Everclear, PM of Iraq, and a bunch of other Big Cheese Gov. types.

Well I guess Chuck Norris really flew escort for me.

ran into LARRY THE CABLE GUY in the FBO yesterday.

for a "regular redneck" he sure had a nice set of golf clubs and hopped into his Falcon jet with a nice spring in his step...

:rotfl:

I ran into Larry the Cable Guy at an FBO last year, too. Nice guy and much less of a hick than he makes himself out to be.

I flew the author John Irving. ( The World According to Garp, The Cider House Rules) He and his wife were the greatest. Down to earth and social. With his wife there, I asked for his autograph (for my wife) and said "you know my wife would leave me for you". Well, his wife just busted out laughing.

Then in Port Meadville in PA. (KGKJ) http://www.airnav.com/airport/KGKJ
I ran into Bill Clinton during the primary's when Hillary was running for president. We landed, taxied to the FBO just to see a huge Gulfstream sitting there surrounded by 4 big black Cadillac Escalades surrounded by a bunch of guys in black suits.

I've had Rosie O'Donnel twice (Everything Trump said was right...everything), Jimmy Buffett (cool, but his agent is not.....not at all), a few NFL players (a few Falcons and Redskins...don't recall names. All were lots of fun and very polite), Cal Ripken Jr. (who was absolutely awesome! Insisted we call him "Cal" and not "Mr. Ripken". Volunteered to do a photo, but my camera - my phone - was broke.), a certain Senate Majority Leader (who was a total -bag...late and rude and bitchy about weather....that we were trying to depart 4 hours earlier to beat out. His little assistant was even worse than he was.) and most recently a pretty well known radio talk host who recently had a pretty well publicized speaking engagement (who could not have been nicer...even with all of the turbulence).

I've also run into Harrison Ford at FSI (ICT) while there for Caravan Initial. He was in for recurrent in his Cj, I believe. Oh, and we saw Chris Berman (total tool) in PHL just before the NFL playoffs started.

For the most part, I don't get "star struck", but Cal Ripken Jr. really got to me. I was pretty nervous trying to hit the start button.

I hope you got Rosie's autograph for Calcapt. He absolutely adores her!

She's a fat, disgusting, pig and a rude, obnoxious, loser. If I never see her again, it will be two times too many. I'm hoping maybe with Coco going on tour I might get a shot at that.

That would be awesome.
