Hageland is hiring

Not sure if they will consider you until you have your commercial. Anywhere from 50-100 hours depending on the base and time of the season. I've been doing it out of Texas for a few months, it's not bad because we only do it twice a month.

Sounds like a good deal! Home every 2 weeks! Much better than survey work!

Going from TX up to AK, how does your commute typically work? What hours do you travel, how long does it take and overall what is the experience like?

I'm in SEA currently and I am very interested in these types of 2 wk/2 wk jobs in AK.

My quals/experience:
Commercial, Multi, Instrument
1100+ total, 600+ XC, 122 instrum
almost a year of Picto survey flying

Thanks!

Hello,
Wondering what kind of mins they want for Mulit time to move to the 1900. I have about 1200 TT, 300 in Alaska, but don't have my multi commerical done yet.. Worth it to apply before finishing that? Was going to try to knock it out in a few weeks when I went back to the States.
Just a CMEL is all you need.

A commute from SEA would be a breeze. Typically you plan to arrive at your base the day before your shift begins, so you'd probably leave early morning from SEA and arrive at your destination in the evening.

Coming up out of Houston are you using revenue tickets, or have you been able to get pass/jumpseat? If so, has United or Alaska tended to work out better? Thinking hard about doing the commute from Seabrook...

I've used both, they both work well. However, United has many more flights than Alaska. Alaska only has flights to Seatte.

Corvus = Ravn (121) + Hageland (135) + Frontier (135).

Ravn flies Dash 8s and B1900Ds. The 1900Ds are on the way out. Hageland flies 207s, 208s, Navajos, 406s, and B1900Cs. Frontier flies one Sherpa.

Ravn and Hageland are recruiting. Resumes can be sent to the attention of the appropriate chief pilot.

If you have ATP mins and want 121 experience you should apply to Ravn. If you don't have ATP mins you should apply to Hageland. If you have ATP mins but arent looking for 121, you should apply to Hageland. But bear in mind that direct entry captains are the exception rather than the rule.

Low time pilots coming to Hageland start in the right seat of the Caravan. They often transfer over to the right seat of the 1900. They typically fly between 750 and 1200 hours per year. They transfer over to the 207 after they have 1500 hours. They will spend approximately a year in the 207, then a year in the 208, and then move to the Navajo.

Any contract to sign?

Once they get the 1500, can they just go to Ravn on the Dash?

Thanks. Do you have company housing on your two week rotations? How absolutely miserable would an EWR commute be?
Yes, both places I have stayed have been nice with cable and wifi (but I haven't been to Bethel yet XD ). I've been commuting from IAH, just takes a little planing.

Cool. Can you guys list with fedex or ups?
What's pay like on the 1900 in the right seat? $66/day is a bit hard to stomach...

If anyone is interested be sure to get a resume in soon as it takes a few weeks for them to do paperwork and get a drug test done.

I sent mine in about 2 weeks ago. The lady on my phone said they would have given it to the appropriate office, but will that office confirm if they got it? I tried calling to speak with the Hagey office but she just said they'd call me and didn't seem like she wanted to transfer me. I hope they got it.

I got the same runaround too. Calls will probably go out soon(ish).

Any way you can get hired directly into the right seat of the 1900? I am a 1000TT guy with KA200/LR-JET35 time both totaling around 750hrs. Just don't have my CSEL
