"Trust me. Some airline captains don't have a clue"
I see you've met some Captains. And I guess you've flown for GA too right? And leave the Gangsta alone. He is a good guy. But you are right this is for advice and everyone has their own opinion. I and others have ours and you and the others have yours. And as I stated before it does not matter what route you took, and you know this as well, if you pass the interview and get through their training, you will get hired. But having Part 121 experience and some kind of Turbine Time gives you an edge. And those are the facts. By the way it's Cuban Coffee ala Cafe con Leche con mucho azucar... Just the way I like the girls in the clubs.
A) De727ups has met a few captains.
B) There are no easy ways in this industry. You have to pay your dues.
C) The thing is to get the interview. Its who you know.
D) The bad news, my airline has WAY to many people from Gulfstream. The good news is they have stayed away from hiring from there recently and I really don't think they will in hire from there in the future. Secondly, I have not met one of the former Gulfstreamers who said it was a good experience. I laugh my a$$ off when they tell me how much they paid and I tell them how much I paid for my ratings to get to the same place that they are.
