Based on your years of experience and time in the industry, this should be an easy task for you sir. I would like to know which carriers are not hiring guys with SIC time from Gulfstream or any other PFT outfit....be it regional or major. I took a giant risk by switching to this line of work, I know.

I'll boil it down for you.

You are PAYING to work for somebody.

Soon other places will follow this trend and you can PAY to work for them also. Pretty soon nobody is getting PAID except the airline.

This pisses people off because you are in essence taking a potential job away from somebidy with your willingness to PAY to work for someone.

Come by my house and you can pay me $35 an hor to mow my lawn. I will pay you $5.25 an hour to gain experience and then I will get you an interview with a landscaping company.
 
Don't even answer the question. We've been down this road numerous times which is the reason why I created the "Hot Topics" area where I keep the archives of brazillion-paged threads on this topic.

How about you post it. I get confused about what I said to who sometimes, especially with respect to Guflstream. I post what I feel is worth posting, you do the same? Deal?

However, I'll say it again. You're comments are asking me about how being a Streamer shouldn't hurt you in the long run. Do I know any Streamer that have been hurt? How awful it is that someone would hold a prejudice against a Streamer since they were only trying to bypass the the silly CFI route to get ahead.

I said this before and I'll say it again. Streamers should be exposed to extreme prejudice in their career. The route they take does harm to the profession.

It's quite an easy task. I'll say there aren't any but you could brush up against someone, like me, who hates Gulfstream, and won't give you the time of day. You're rollin' the dice. What part of that doesn't make sense?

So, anyway, 777, if you're not a troll. You at least need to be aware of why the mention of Gulfstream elicits such a strong response. You can tell us tell you're blue in the face that we are wrong...but we are right....
