There is no deception in the marketing - when you go to buy a ticket, they show you all of the fares for the fare classes and you buy accordingly. Which is what most of the others do, I believe.
"Low Fare" in the buyer's mind doesn't always mean lowest price. It really means "greatest value", as any regular business traveler will attest.
