Great Lakes Interview

I am in training right now at GLA. It is by no means a walk in the park either. People who gripe about GLA being a crappy airline have most of the time not ever worked here. Everyone that I have met so far actually seem happy to be here. As for hiring, they have told us that they will have a training class every month this year. They have also told us they a six to twelve month upgrade is very doable. I was a little hesitant to come here because of what I have read on this forum but, I have had a very pleasant experience thus far. So if you think you can afford the low pay for a year or less. Come over here, it's a great place.

Thanks for the info. I have my interview set up for May 6th. They said if the interview goes well I could be in class as early as May 9th but that might be a little too quick for me. The HR lady said the next class would be in early June. Where are you going to be based? How long do you think you'll be sitting reserve? How long might it take you to be able to hold DEN?

Interview is cake. Its an easy 20 question test followed by an HR/technical interview. It was overall about an hour long and the people were very nice. I was offered a May 9th class but declined as I could not live on 16K although other aspects of the airline are lucrative.

They havnt told us our bases yet, but they have told us that probably half will go to DEN and the other half to ISN. They told us if we were in DEN we would probably be on reserve forv1-2 months. If in ISN we could probably have a line right out of class. They said most people want DEN, so if you get ISN and you want DEN they told us we should be able to transfer with 2-3 months.

If you have friends over here, that are three year FO's they are either on the Bro and don't have enough time to upgrade or they are on the Beech and don't want to upgrade or may be even to young to upgrade. I've heard there is a guy in the upgrade class right now that has only been here 10 or 11 months.

I too had a friend their that was about a three year FO, but he left last summer I think. Things change quick.
