Great Dallas eateries for families?

ZapBrannigan

If it ain’t a Boeing, I’m not going. No choice.
Trying to sell the wife and kid on a move to Dallas. Any not to be missed restaurants that will help win them over?

The Truck Yard & The Lot.

How old is the kiddo?

Edit: If you've never been to The Truck Yard don't be discouraged by it's website. It is VERY kid (and dog) friendly. TONS of kids during the day, and a hell of a lot of fun for parents too :)

I second those posted above.

I can name a ton of places...not sure about kids though since I don't have any...

Come on down though, I live downtown and probably am moving to the Irving/Lewisville area in a year or so (fiance offices are moving)

plus there are more restaurants per capita than any other city! (Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex)

Love and War in Texas. (Yes, that's the name.) Criminally large portions of food that is bad for you but tastes wonderful.

Live music and kid friendly.

The Magic Time Machine. Waiters/tresses are dressed like movie characters.

Never been there; could suck. Just FYI. There's one in Addison.

Love and War is damn good, too.

Italian- Johnny Carrino's (scattered across metroplex)

Tex Mex- Rosas Tortilla Factory (scattered across metroplex)
Joe T. Gracias in Ft Worth!!

And definitely agree with a few posts back....Babes is awesome!!!

North Main BBQ in Euless, not far from DFW. Supposedly voted best ribs in the world. $15 all you can eat BBQ. It's only open Friday- Sunday.

Realize that Dallas and Euless are pretty far apart.

Can you narrow it down @ZapBrannigan? I lived and worked in Dallas for over 20 years. Know it well.

Picking the wife up at Love. Have appointments to tour schools in Southlake and White Rock so we will be back and forth around town

Might be out of the way, but Tolberts in Grapevine for Chili is pretty good. As a kid we loved the Magic Time Machine in Austin (now closed). No idea on food quality, but the restraint experience is lits own unique fun, like going to a Rainforest Cafe, but imagine being inside the movies, instead.

I'd pass on Rosas and hit Ninfas if you're into Mexican.

Off Site Kitchen. Just south of Parkland, near the airport. Limited hours (10:30 - 3:00). If you can, avoid the peak lunch rush so your wait in line won't be too long. Plan on getting it to go.

One of, if not the, best burger in Dallas...
