at night too! we had to shut off the strobes on the SR20 because they were just blinding. made it pitch black until you broke out of the clouds, it was pretty sweetWow, sounds exciting. Unluckily enough I'm stuck VFR until spring. I'm really looking forward to IFR. 300 ft and 1sm, that's nuts.
I can only imagine how it feels to break out of the clouds and see the runway...woohoo. :nana2:
You really need to go freight, bro. You'd love it.at night too! we had to shut off the strobes on the SR20 because they were just blinding. made it pitch black until you broke out of the clouds, it was pretty sweet
once i meet Airnet's mins i will, i refuse to go there with less than 135 mins because i can't live off 7/hr for SIC. has been my plan for the last 4 yearsYou really need to go freight, bro. You'd love it.
Sounds like a good plan... when do you think you'll have the mins?once i meet Airnet's mins i will, i refuse to go there with less than 135 mins because i can't live off 7/hr for SIC. has been my plan for the last 4 years
around next Feb, not entirely sure yet, the only thing i will be lacking on is the XC time, as currently i only have around 250, so maybe 300-350ish by then. is that something waivable or would i still need to do the SIC thing?Sounds like a good plan... when do you think you'll have the mins?
what do you mean? (brain not full functioning yet)Not waivable.
You're counting point to point XC, right? Not 50Nm.
oh, well then i definetly meet that time, just couple hundred more TTI mean flying from one airport to another, no matter the distance. If you fly from your home airport to another that's 5 NM away, that counts. That's the XC part 135s are looking for.
i want STP, but i suppose any would do really, i just happen to like MN, depends on where my wife can get a job as wellHard to say. Bases are coming open all the time. It just depends. You could show up and get your base of choice right away, or you might have to wait.
I got my base because NOBODY wanted it. Not sure why - I love it here.
actual today:nana2::nana2::nana2: anyone else? gorgeous night for it, went up around 630 in the SEMI and flew for 1.5, then PD'd a cirrus tonight for another 0.8. not bad for 5 approaches total
was about 300ft and 1SM when i landed after the last approach
