I was reading some information on the GoJet interview, and it sounds easy. I just wanted to see how any of you feel about it. According to some of the gouges I have read, they do not have a sim ride or written test. Also, they ask only a few, if any tech questions. If any of you have any comments about the experience, I would appreciate it.

Also, can any of you describe the training process for GoJet. Is the training somewhat easy and understandable? What information should one study in order to prepare for such training?

Thanks

1) GoJet is a most reprehensible operation. Do not go there. Your career will regret it.

B) If the interview is really this easy...isn't that sending up red flags?

What about GoJet makes you want to apply? A search will turn up many discussions on this, but it would be nice to know why you find GoJets an attractive airline to work for.

Velo will make sure he understands.

Avoid it...Like Velocipede said, prepare to get treated like scum.
The reason the interview is so easy is because everyone knows it as an alger-ego outfit designed to undercut the TransStates pilot group and you'd have to be crazy to go there. I'm sure they don't have a huge applicant pool to choose from.
To prepare for their training I would get used to saying, "I work for TransStates Holdings," and the art of turning around your ID badge without people noticing.

I do not know that much information about GoJets, which is why I am asking about them. The only reason I am writing this forum is to gather information on different airlines. I was just inquiring about them, and never said I wanted to fly for them. I saw they were going to be at a career fair in Miama, so I did maybe 10 minutes of research in my free time. I saw that many people do not like them, and I am just wondering why.

I am the only pilot in my family, so I am not sure exactly what airlines to apply for and which ones to stay away from. I am not exacly sure how to build my experience before going to the airlines without flight instructing. I only have around 500 hours, which is enough for some regional carriers, but I want to fly in other fashions so I have more experience to become more competitive. Any information you can provide will be nice.

I am sorry for making you guys think that I am some sort of monster for saying I have an interest in GoJets. I am just throwing out options. :banghead:

Don't let it bother you man. If you stay around this website long enough, you will learn a ton! I was once misinformed on GoJet as well. Now that you know, stay far away from them. Like someone else said, your career will thank you. Oh yeah, and welcome to Jetcareers!

I think the only question for the interview goes something like this: "Yes, can you hold this mirror under your nostrils and breathe though your nose please?" (Meanwhile the interview panel is looking to see that you indeed have fogged up the mirror) "Congratulations and welcome to GoJet!"

Wow, I did not know I would get such a response from this forum, so while this is still hot, I am going to ask you a few questions that do not relate to GoJet.

As all of you may know, I am interviewing with Mesaba on Thrusday, and have received some helpful information about the interview process. However, I would like more info on the technical interview. If some of you could provide some helpful examples of what they have asked, I would appreciate it.

For any of you who would like to talk to me over the phone about this forum or about Mesaba, send me a message, and I will reply with my phone number.

Thanks

MikeOH58: I did not change my mind in 1.2 hrs. I am going to interview with Mesaba to see what the interview process for an airline position is like in person, since this is the first one for me. If I do not get the position, I would like to fly in other fashions that do not include flight instructing or flying 121. My ultimate goal is to fly 121, but I do want to maybe fly night cargo for a year or so I get more hours.

Well, now that you've seen the response GoJet gets around here and all over the industry, consider yourself informed:)

Good luck on your Mesaba interview!
