Uhh....wow Velo. I said very plainly that 'hopefully' the your purported 'Axis of Evil' has their chance to redeem themselves in the future. SWA apparently has, then you felt you must yell to prove your point. Will forgive and forget then?

I say history is very important. Simple as that. To use your logic, when talking to an anti-union pilot at my company, should I tell them "all the good things ALPA has done over the years mean nothing!" ??? And that we "should only be concerned with the here and now" ??

Stop grandstanding and show some maturity on the issue will ya?

I think history is extremely important... you don't get to current standards without some type of historical fact... you can't just go by "current", you have to take "history" into account.

the only reason for me to go to such a place would be is because after my completion of school, no place will accept me since I can only work for a year... except gojet probably haha (hell, even they might not... how sad is that? even gojet wouldn't want me :()

Riddle us this:

If, in 2-3 years, the industry takes a downturn again, and everyone but JetBlue has to cut pay...and suddenly B6 has the highest narrowbody pay...

Where does that put your position on SWA?

Point being, SWA did to pilot pay pre 9/11 the same thing that you claim JetBlue is doing to it right now. Yet, in your "the only thing that matters is NOW" world, that fact is forgiven with SWA.

Would it also be forgiven at JetBlue if eventually their pay rates were industry leading...not because the rates were raised, but because everyone else's dropped?

Wait....I can almost hear the answer all ready....."No, because they're a bunch of non-union proto-scabs who are just waiting to cross a picket line".

Anyone want to call:

...on this one.

Although, I do agree with Kristie - I'm plowing through FTL Vol. 2 right now and it's amazing how history is repeating itself in the industry today. We hear the same old tired management games for a new generation of pilots and predictable people falling for the same old ruse over and over again. (although i'll reserve my comments till I'm finished with FTL Vol. 2)

Your question is ridiculously hypothetical. If, if, if. But, but, but.

If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas!

How about if you deal with reality instead of fantasy. The non-Union carriers are a drag on wages and benefits. Its simple. However, as usual, there are none so blind as those who will not see.
