Getting Spirit Pilots Home

I am not super well-read on any of this, but it would appear to a layman that he wanted some sort of personal equity in return for the bailout funds? I'd imagine that at a bare minimum, the terms of whatever proposal the WH threw at them were worse than ceasing operations.

Not sure how useful buddy passes are from me, but they're yours if any of you all need them.
Yeah if any of you happen to need to get to the west coast or Hawaii I’ve got passes as well.

I thought the rumors were a bunch of noise since I hadn’t seen anything solid but by looking at the amount of cancelled flights on flightaware I guess there may be some validity 🙁

UPS or the IPA hasn’t given us line puke any guidance and it’s hard to give out rides in the cargo world without any cabin only seats. Either way if anyone needs help getting home please reach out and I’ll make it happen.

Ditto for AA. I have plenty of D3 buddy passes. Hopefully we continue to honor the JS for cabin only for a few days, but no guidance on that yet.

And... there it is. The website is down. Again... if anyone needs a ride home on JetBlue please send me a message.

We just got this at AA:

What’s happening: The American team is working to support Spirit Airlines customers and team members affected by Spirit's immediate wind down of operations. We want to share an update on how we’re helping Spirit crew members who are currently away from home on a work trip.

What we’re doing: We’re maintaining Spirit crew members’ ability to commute home on American flights until 12:00 a.m. CT on Saturday, May 9. Here is how it will work:

  • Spirit team members can continue using MyIDTravel to list for commuting travel until May 9, as long as they still have access to the site.
  • Travel on American is limited to cabin seats only. Jumpseat and flight deck access are no longer available.
  • Spirit pilots will no longer be listed in the CASS system.

This means you may have more Spirit crew members than usual onboard as they make their way home. If you do, we appreciate you going the extra mile to make them feel welcome and cared for during a difficult time.

Like I said in another thread, this is sucky.

But there are enough of us oldsters still around (and alive) that have been through some industry turmoil.

You aren't alone, a lot of us "get it", including myself, let's talk about it and work it out.

Jetblue

To help support them during this challenging time, we’ll extend our pilot jumpseat and flight attendant cabin seat agreements for the next two weeks (space available, and amended to cabin seats only for pilots).

I've got a poop-ton of Marriott points, if anyone is stuck in PHX and can't get a room, hit me up.

Or stay here at the ponderosa, but I hope you like cats and my weird sleep schedule.

I have a few airline miles accumulated between various carriers if somebody needs a ride home.

Or stay here at the ponderosa, but I hope you like cats and my weird sleep schedule.

Cats and weird sleep is exactly what my days off are.
