Back from the days of televisions and huge stereos looking like furniture!

I watched one like that all through my childhood! My great-grandmother had a stereo and a TV both that looked like enormous furniture pieces. The good old days ...

And even when the TV stopped working, it remained as an end table...

Well, at least in my house....

I think my mom's console stereo (w/hi-fi!) served as a sofa table for at least 20 years after it stopped working!

Yeah, but I was a huge Kiss fan back then so no woofers required!

I am not married, but have been with my girlfriend since the beginning (aka 4.5 years) It is very different for most of the significant others. Some days you are home on a regualr basis, where other days you may be gone overnight. First, you need to know that the other person is very understanding, and secondly they realize the time and effort that goes into your career. If you do not have those two mastered you can come home to some very difficult nights. Also, even if everyting is rock solid, you have to realize that you are not the one making the sacrifice, it is your wife/ husband that is home alone and dealing with everything while you are flyimg...so make sure that when you get home that you show appreciation with everything that they are doing.

I'm starting to think that I'm going to be just fine with me, myself and I for a long-a$$ time. I can get a snake. they don't need much attention. Maybe an ant farm. I had a worm farm once, they're pretty easy as well.

Don't get hermit crabs! We thought they were easy to take care of at first, but then after we had like 8 die on us we realized that they are a heck of a lot harder to keep living than we originally thought!
