you obviously haven't seen the movie non-stopCan the cockpit be broken into from the Lav forward wall, in a situation like this, in nearly any jet?

security sensitive informationExcuse my ignorance... But what is SSI?
Excuse my ignorance... But what is SSI?
I'm not sure how much this would really increase safety. Maybe, in the rare case that the presence of a another human would prevent a rather passive nutcase from acting. In the case of a determined killer, a punch to the face of a unsuspecting FA would pretty much incapacitate that FA for awhile. This is just sickening. I can't beleive that they don't have an FA up there when one pilot leaves the station.
The additional psychological pressure of the co-pilot having to look a fellow crewmember in the eye before he took their life may have proved to be enough moral dissuasion to keep him from doing what he did. .
My friend was saying word in Europe is the knee jerk reaction of no longer allowing pilots to be left alone in the cockpit. When a pilot needs to leave, an FA will come and remain in the cockpit. It all seems very silly,

**SSI DELETED**
Are you disagreeing with me because you actually disagree, or only because it's me?

How about stun collars, like on Star Trek? It'd be "fighting our last war" and wouldn't necessarily increase safety and security.
I like the camera modification, personally.
Personally, psychological screening as part of the medical recertification process and de-stigmatizing psychological health would help.
Stop quoting SSI information, too...just saying.ATN_Pilot post: 2418906 said:Would you please stop posting security sensitive information on a public forum?! Seriously, people!

You mean they are going to do it like EVERY US airline does it now? How terrible, the Europeans are going to have to copy the Americans.
What good is a camera, other than to record the last gruesome details, which the "news media" would be falling all over themselves to file an FOI so they could air it.
As for the state of mental health and it's treatment in this country, that is the true crime.
