Geographical locations

FINALLY got my geo email.

Listed NC and TN.

Unlike most, I'm actually glad this process takes a while, as I don't start my terminal leave till Oct! :p
 
I logged into the FAA website this morning where you maintain your geographic preferences, and it looks like they have modified the drop-down menus that allow you to select a state. I could have swore that before yesterday it allowed you to choose D.C. as an option, but now it won't let me. How are you supposed to specify BWI, DCA, IAD, and consolidated TRACON now? Or was D.C. not an option before?
 
D.C. shouldn't be an option as there are no ATC facilities located in DC, if your want IAD and DCA select Virginia and indicate Loudoun/Fairfax & Arlington counties...and of course BWI is in MD

And that makes perfect sense, except that you are limited to selecting two states. So if I am interested in anything in D.C. and Florida, I am kinda stuck as I can't pick VA, MD, and FL.
 
I hear ya....I gave up on selecting any options in the DC area (I would only want to work at DCA anyway) and opted for more flexibility with the NYC area

Just seems like kind of a waste of a selection, but I may add D.C. to the comments area. Thanks for your help :)
