Can you still get updates (do jepp/garmin still support this product)?
Do you have to connect to a computer to download updates?

You can still get nav database updates.
Software updates haven't been done in a few years.
You do need a computer...a serial and USB cord are both included.

yes, that's what I meant. sorry. Nav db updates. Im sure the tool is as is from now on....
And does it have a dash mount that I can source somewhere....The one in the photo..is that a suction type gizmo?

No worries @Troy McClure ...RAM makes several mounts for it and they're still available new from what I can see. The one that it has is a quick disconnect type and has a sticky type mount to hold the cradle down, then the GPS pops in and out of the cradle. I believe all of the Garmin 195/295/396/496 modules interchange...it locks into my 396 mount fine.
